What Happens Without an Estate Plan in Oregon?
When an Oregon resident passes away without a valid will or trust, their estate is distributed according to Oregon's intestate succession laws under ORS Chapter 112. This means the state, not you, decides who receives your assets. Even estates with modest assets often go through probate, a court-supervised process that can take months or even years and involves public filings.
A thoughtful estate plan can help you:

-
Direct how your assets are distributed
-
Name guardians for minor children
-
Designate someone to make healthcare and financial decisions if you cannot
-
Reduce the time and cost your family spends in probate

Step 1. Discovery & Strategy
T. Mann Financial leverages established estate planning technology to help build a structured framework, beginning with a thorough discovery process to align strategies with your goals, assets, and family dynamics.

This may include exploring options around wealth transfer, tax efficiency, charitable giving, and legacy planning. By modeling different scenarios and discussing trade-offs, we aim to help you make confident, informed decisions before moving into the document creation phase.
Step 2. Document Creation
